Electrician Certification

So you're looking for information about getting an Electrician Certification?

The term "Electrician Certification" is kind of a loose term. It can mean many different things, such as being a certified apprentice (perhap in a union program), or a certified electrician trainee from a vocational school, or a journeyman or master certification.

The certifications and their requirements vary from State to State and some may not even have an electrician certification.

Now, let's assume for a minute that your State is one of the ones that do require a certification, and more importantly they probably may also require that you take an exam (or even multiple tests).

Some States even have licensing / Certifications based on classifications, and this means that you may be classified as a residential electrician and not be able to perform work on a commercial building.

They would of course also offer a certification for an unlimited classification so that you could perform all other electrical work.
